Survarium is a free to play MMOFPS being made by Vostok Games and is currently in Beta. It is a top notch game, completely viable for retail yet it's free to play. Excellent balance of mechanics and it's being updated constantly.
And like I said, it's the spiritual successor to the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games by GSC, one of my favourite franchises of all time. If anyone's interested you can find it here.
