Got an XP Pro desktop (with all current updates, legit activation).
turn on, XP splash screen, sits at black screen for 5 to 10 minutes, no HDD activity, then eventually logon screen appears and everything is fine.
this happens every time after reboot or power on.
also happens in safe mode (last thing to load before the long pause is mup.sys)
any suggestions?
