Hi - I'm about to build a new computer for Windows 7 and MS FlightSim FSX.
As far as I know, FSX is basically single-threaded, so a fast single processor speed will be better than a multi-cored cpu.
Been looking at the AMD FX 4350 at 4.2 GHz, quad core, FX3+ socket. Costs around 75 quid.
Will an Intel costing about the same offer me more? The i3 processors cost about 10 quid more, and are clocked around 3.8 GHz.
Obviously, I have no experience of comparing the two architectures, so no way of knowing what would be the best choice.
Graphics from an nVidia geforce gtx 650 ti boost (probably overkill for FSX - comments on that welcome too!).
Any FSX gurus out there? Gamers who know their AMD from their Intel? Over to you!
