This is really a newbie question but have heard people talking about disk imaging and being able to backup an image of their OS which means all applications. Just wondering if this is what is commonly used if a PC goes kaput? i.e. rather than reinstalling the OS and all the drivers,programs, you just reload an image back on?
would the image file contain the personal data too?
I actually asked the same question of acronis but could not get a straight answer out of them.
