Windows Disk Cleanup

So I'm on the Windows Disk Cleanup I ticked all the boxes I wanted to be deleted and it works fine but I was wondering what happens if you press clean up system files? I'm assuming it clears up files that you can't clear up with the others you can tick above. If so what sort of system files?
