Is the Asus Xonar DGX really worth my while.
I'll elaborate, I have a system that was originally a Dell Inspiron 530, but it has been modified.
Now its running on a larger hard drive, bigger PSU, different case etc. I am running Windows 7 64 bit. I am having intermittent sound problems where the sound will randomly increase. It is, I think an onboard Realtek soundcard. I've heard that Realteks can sometimes have problems and a board I go to called Spacebattles recommended the Asus Xonar DGX. Lo and behold, Kustom have this in stock. Is there much of a difference? It's not the cost as I remember the old days of paying over a 100 quid for a Sound Blaster AWE 32, but I use a Roccat Kave headset so am not bothered about speaker sound.
All I am wondering is, is this a decent budget card?
