My ASUS A7V8X-X desk top has been giving me problems for some time, particularly so as now it has a ransomware virus which I cannot defeat. Trying to run virus removal has been futile as the virus kicks in before the program can start.
I am now looking to replace the hard drive but am unsure which to choose.
The current HDD is an IDE 80Gb Desk star.
I have seen really cheap ones (less than £10.00) on a popular auction site but am mightily confused as to which to go for, such is my limited knowledge of the technical side of pc's.
I hope someone can make it easy for me!
