The right amount of slack for my radiator?

I returned to Amazon a faulty water cooler I had and got a replacement, this one did not leak but after I mounted the fan to one end of the radiator it leaked!



I assume I overtightened screws and its caused a leak but if so is there any way to sort it without returning it I will be very happy.
